Waldomar N. Asen brought action for damages arising from personal injuries sustained by him on December 8, 1955, while painting a large, bulletin-type, outdoor sign at 6th and Michigan streets in the city of Milwaukee. The defendants were Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company, owner of the sign, and Naegele Outdoor Advertising Company of Wisconsin, Inc., which had constructed the sign for Schlitz in 1952. Mr. Asen was employed by the O. D. Sign Company, which had agreed to paint the sign for Schlitz on this occasion.
